This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop their understanding of the principles of safer manual handling.

Intended Audience

The QA Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF) qualification has been specifically designed for all employees to help raise their awareness of the risks associated with unsafe manual handling practices. It is also ideal for those who might have to carry out manual handling as part of their job such as handling deliveries, parcels and boxes.

Course Overview

Over a half day period, learners will develop a greater awareness of manual handling, including: common manual handling injuries, the safe movement principles, theory of safe manual handling principles and manual handling equipment. Please note that this qualification does not include practical sessions. Those requiring practical training should undertake the QA Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF).

1 x 15 Multiple Choice Question paper (theory assessment).

Certification

Successful learners will receive a personalised QA Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF) e-Certificate immediately after their results have been submitted, subject to a Centre’s Direct Claims Status and any required actions. Printed certificates are available at an additional cost (please see our Fees and Charges list for details).
