Intended Audience

The QA Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) is specifically designed to give learners an introduction into internal quality assurance. This qualification is ideal for two types of learners:

• Those looking to start a career as an IQA, starting with the internal quality assurance of predominantly theory based qualifications
• Those who require an understanding of the processes involved in internal quality assurance, but are not required to apply this knowledge in a practical manner; such as assessors or administration staff.

Successful learners will gain knowledge in areas such as: policies and procedures relevant to internal quality assurance, legal requirements, and techniques for monitoring the quality of assessment internally. Certification
