Did you know that guidance from the Health and Safety Executive and Skills for Health states that from 1st October 2015:
- First Aid Trainers must hold a formal regulated teaching/training qualification
- First Aid Assessors must hold a formal regulated assessing qualification or have attended the relevant CPD Training with an Awarding Organisation
- First Aid Internal Quality Assurers must hold a formal internal quality assurer qualification or have attended the relevant CPD Training with an Awarding Organisation.
The guidance details the requirements of Trainers and Assessors separately. It is accepted, however, that both roles are normally performed by the same person, providing the qualifications for both roles are met.
