National Defibrillator Network – The Circuit | Qualsafe

According to British Heart Foundation, there are over 30,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests (OHCA) every year in the UK and only 1 in 10 people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

Each time a defibrillator is purchased and registered to The Circuit, it increases the chance of survival for these out-of-hospital emergencies.

What is ‘The Circuit’?

The Circuit is the national defibrillator network, providing NHS ambulance services with vital information about defibrillators within the UK, so they can be located and accessed quickly.

They have currently helped to map over 50,000 defibrillators in the UK and counting, with aims to use this service to also “analyse location data and identify where more defibrillators are needed”.

We encourage those who have purchased a defibrillator from Qualsafe to promptly register your device and help us all make a difference today.

Why should I register my defibrillator?

Whilst there may be many defibrillators within our communities, they cannot be used if people don’t know where they are or how to access them. Please ensure you register your defibrillator as:

  • Early CPR and defibrillation increases the chances of survival if someone has a sudden cardiac arrest
  • Connecting to The Circuit will also help you look after and maintain your defibrillator – added bonus
  • By adding your defibrillators to The Circuit, you are improving its availability and you can, ultimately, help to save a life!

How do I register my defibrillator?

You can register your defibrillator in these simple steps:

Account Setup for Guardians (incl. Shop)

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Location and surroundings of the defibrillator
  2. Brand, model, device serial number
  3. When the defibrillator is accessible
  4. Expiration date of pads / Does the battery display its ready signal

Account Setup for Organisations

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Location and surroundings of the defibrillator
  2. Details of people who may look after individual defibrillators on your behalf
  3. Brand, model, device serial number and accessibility times

If you are a Training Centre, Office, Shopping Centre, Leisure Centre, an individual or a guardian of a defibrillator, you can register your defibrillator on The Circuit here.

Where can I purchase a defibrillator?
