QA Level 2 Award in citizenAID (RQF)
The QA Level 2 Award in citizenAID (RQF) is a regulated qualification designed to teach members of the public life-saving skills for use in the event of a deliberate multiple casualty incident.
Based on the citizenAID Pocket Guide and Phone App, this 3 hour qualification will teach Learners how to react safely, pass on effective messages to the emergency services, prioritise the injured and give life-saving first aid in these extreme situations.
The QA Level 2 Award in CitizenAid (RQF) qualification has been developed for all members of the public who wish to learn valuable life-saving skills and techniques for use in the event of a shooting, stabbing, bombing or other deliberate incident.
Learners who undertake the QA Level 2 Award in citizenAID (RQF) must have access to either the citizenAID Phone App or Pocket Guide. The citizenAID Pocket Guide can be purchased here. The citizenAID Phone App can be downloaded here.

Please note that citizenAID is a not-for-profit initiative and this is fully supported by Qualsafe Awards. Pricing has been set to cover Qualsafe Awards’ administration costs only and all proceeds received by citizenAID will be re-invested to further the initiative.
Successful Learners will receive a QA Level 2 Award in citizenAID (RQF) E-certificate personalised with their Centre’s details.
In order to deliver this qualification, Centres will require a minimum of 1 Trainer and 1 Internal Quality Assurer (these cannot be the same person). All Trainers, Assessors, IQAs and EQAs must have occupational knowledge and competence in the management of catastrophic bleeding. Please refer to the Assessment Principles for Regulated First Aid Qualifications and the above Qualification Specification (Pages 12-13) to check the Training/Assessing and Quality Assurance qualifications, and occupational knowledge and competence required for these positions. Centres will also need to have appropriate policies, systems and procedures in place, as well as suitable and adequate venues, equipment and learning resources.
